In the wake of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, which led to the cancelation of April’s planned RLCS Season 9 World Championship, Psyonix has announced the Rocket League Spring Series with $350,000 in total prizing.
The Spring Series will include four regional championship events across North America, Europe, Oceania, and South America. The top four teams from each respective RLCS Season 9 regional championship will earn automatic qualification and top seeding, with four additional spots awarded through open qualifiers in the days leading up to the event.

The $50,000 South American Spring Series will happen on April 18-19, the $125,000 North American tournament will take place on April 25-26, the $50,000 Oceania tournament will happen on May 2-3, and the $125,000 European Spring Series will cap off the whole thing on May 9-10.
Psyonix’s Spring Series will help fill the void left by the canceled RLCS World Championship, although currently this summer’s Intel World Open remains a question mark following the announced postponement of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. An Intel spokesperson told GINX this week that the company is “committed to bringing Intel World Open to life,” although that doesn’t count out a potential delay.
