Dreamhack Leipzig is approaching fast and we asked ourselves: Who is going to win this tournament? We have a couple of suspicions, but why listen to us, when you can hear what other pro-players predict?
We asked a couple of Rocket League pros that won’t play the tournament. Here’s what they had to say about the upcoming tournament at Dreamhack Leipzig:
Tinny (Endpoint)
It’s hard to bet against the RLCS top 4. Both Gale Force and G2 have won major tournaments recently and I expect Dreamhack to be won by one of them. I’d say Gale Force is the one with the best chance of winning.
This event seems to be the most stacked Rocket League event to date. There could be a lot of surprises. Both Team Secret and Fnatic are very capable of making it all the way to the finals, I’d love to see that.
If anybody is looking to go to dreamhack leipzig, I have 3 event passes + a team pass I’m looking to sell. DM me if you’re interested 🙂
RTs appreciated!

I’m going to have to back the Method boys in on their home European turf. Those guys are still in great form and with all of these new rosters competing at Leipzig I think that their experience will rise to the top and they can take home the title.
Halcyon (ex Hollywood Hammers)
I think Gale Force has the best chance of winning it all. They’re the defending world champions and the best team in the world. Their consistency is incredible and I can see them winning the entire tournament without losing a single series.
I believe NRG will surprise a lot of people with how well they do. They didn’t have the best showing at the last RLCS world championship but they are still a world class team. Additionally, they will be using Torment as a sub to play alongside Fireburner and GarrettG. I can see this team being extremely difficult to beat because Torment will bring them a solid consistency on defense and allow GarrettG and Fireburner to play freely.
For anyone that is curious, @byHalcyon @MemoryRL_ and I were planning on going to Dreamhack but something came up last second. We forgot we were still in the qualification for it and just got double disqualified today. We will be there next time for sure 🙂

Sea-Bass (Team Allegiance)
I think Gale Force has the best chance of winning the whole thing, because they have just been dominant in 2017 so I wouldn’t doubt, that they’ll bring that dominance into 2018.
A team that can surprise a lot of people are The D00ds. The way they performed in the qualifier they looked like a top team. If they perform the way they did in the qualifier, they can make top 8.
Drippay (Chiefs eSports Club)
Gale Force has the best chances of winning Dreamhack Leipzig. In my opinion they are the 3 best players in the world based on throughout 2017 and they have shown in several occasions that they are the best team. Also, they have the home advantage of Dreamhack being in EU.

Seems like the pros have pretty much made up their mind with Gale Force Esports being the favourite for many of them. The current World Champions are of course expected to perform pretty well at Dreamhack Leipzig. The question remains if they can handle the pressure? You will find out this weekend.
