The only 4 players that scored more RLCS goals than Gale Force’s Kaydop

Yesterday, the RLCS EU League Play came to an end. The delayed broadcast (due to a power outage in the area around the RLCS studio on Sunday) featured some incredible matches, the highlight being the intense battle between Gale Force and CompLexity, which was basically a rematch of last season’s Grand Final. (Back then the CompLexity trio played for Method.)

Just like they did last season, Gale Force managed to secure the win against al0t, Metsanauris and Mognus due to some incredible plays. The center of the attention in that intense series was Kaydop, who proved time and time again why he’s considered to be one of the best players in the world. At the end of the day he was named the player of the week, partly due to his amazing plays, but perhaps also to congratulate him to an achievement only a select few will ever be able to accomplish: Kaydop scored his 200th RLCS goal during the match against CompLexity. Only four players have broken that mark before him and scored more goals in total than he has. Here’s who’s still ahead of Kaydop:

4. GarrettG with 220 goals

There’s no doubt about it: GarrettG is just in the best shape of his life right now. He and his NRG teammates swept the entire NA region and went 7-0 during league play. GarrettG’s performance played a big role in that impressive performance.

Out of the top 4 he’s the one with the least amount of games played, which makes his 220 goals even more impressive. Last week he was voted Player of the Week for the first time, and with NRG looking so strong right now he might fulfill a promise he made to Twitter in November: that he won’t stop until he finally lifts that trophy.

3. Markydooda with 229 goals

Markydooda is a veteran of the RLCS. In the very first season he reached the Grand Final (where he and his Flipsid3 teammates came in second), in RLCS S2 he became a World Champion. In the seasons following their biggest success, his team struggled a bit, which eventually led to him parting ways with his long-time teammate kuxir.

Markydooda currently plays for exceL eSports, who’ve had a tough season, finishing only in 7th place. However, he’s still among the top scorers of all time with 229 RLCS for now.

2. Fireburner with 229 goals

Just like Markydooda, Fireburner currently has 229 goals to his name. Even though his opponents fear him most for his incredible passes, he’s one of the top scorers in the history of RLCS, a history he’s been a part of for quite some time.

Fireburner played his first RLCS for NRG in Season 2. Before that he was part of a team called Kings of Urban, but quickly made the jump into the big leagues. With NRG he won the NA Regional Championship in Season 3 and has been a constant threat to opponents ever since. In the current season he and his teammates are still undefeated, so he might soon add a couple of more RLCS goals to his record.

1. kuxir97 with 237 goals

The current top scorer of the RLCS is, you can’t put it any other way, a RLCS legend: kuxir97 is a World Champion, has played in every single RLCS and while other players switch orgs constantly, the Italian player has always stuck with Flipsid3 Tactics. He formed one of the most iconic duos in Rocket League history With the aforementioned Markydooda.

Over the course of this season kuxir97 proved that he doesn’t rely on his former teammate to be a successful scorer. He scored 31 goals in this season alone and as we’re about to enter the Regional Championships he sits on the top of the EU Leaderboard.

Who’s entering the 200 Goal Club next?

There are a few candidates who might join this illustrious round of top scorers soon. The top two runner-ups are two veterans as well: remkoe is only 4 goals shy of breaking the 200 goal mark. The captain of Team Envy could’ve possibly joined Kaydop yesterday, but due to internet issues he didn’t participate in Envy’s match against Fnatic and let their sub gReazymeister step in.

The next one on the list is no other than German Rocket League legend Paschy90. The captain of Team Vitality has played for a multitude of Rocket League teams, including Gale Force esports and Mock-it. Paschy needs 11 more goals to break through the 200 goal barrier, and we’re sure that he’ll get there eventually, even though some people on Reddit recently gave him the nickname Pass-y, because of his passive playstyle lately.
